Helping individuals, couples, and families find balance
Helping individuals, couples, and families find balance
Education and Experience
I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology from UC Santa Cruz and my masters degree in Counseling Psychology from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology (www.itp.edu). I describe my therapeutic approach as "eclectic," in that I incorporate many different treatment modalities. I feel that rapport and "fit" are the most vital components of successful therapy. I encourage my clients to take an active role in their treatment and I ask for ongoing feedback about how counseling is working and not working for them.
I have experience working with many types of people and have worked in private practice settings, non-profit agencies, elementary schools, junior colleges, group homes, and on a suicide and crisis hotline. I have extensive experience working with Chemical Dependency and the impact it has on individuals, couples, and families. I work with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. I thoroughly enjoy providing quality and meaningful counseling and would love the opportunity to speak with you.
